Pro Seal plans expansion
Company will add four jobs, construct new building in Pyramid Airport Park.
From staff reports

Pro Seal & Plastics, a Fort Wayne supplier of seal, gasket and wear-ring products, announced Thursday it will construct a building and add four jobs to its current staff of 12.

The company will construct a steel building of 20,500 square feet at 9100 Airport Drive in Pyramid Airport Park, it announced in a written statement. The building is part of a $1.4 million expansion project that includes new research and development, logistics and information-technology equipment.

Pro Seal now occupies a building at 4301 Arden Drive in Engle Ridge Industrial Park that will be available when the company relocates to its new facility in December.

Jay Witte, the company’s general manager, said in the statement that the expansion will enable the company to continue its year-over-year growth of 22 percent to 28 percent. The company was founded in 2000. The Fort Wayne Redevelopment Commission will consider Pro Seal’s application for tax abatement on eligible property at its meeting Monday.

The company has found a strong niche globally. About two-thirds of its products are sold to manufacturers in Canada, the United Kingdom, Italy, Brazil, Germany, the Netherlands and China.

Pro Seal provides specialized kits and subassemblies for original-equipment manufacturers, maintenance and repair operations, and aftermarket suppliers for industrial, construction and commercial markets. The company’s engineers provide services from application and design engineering to material selection and specification.
