The University of Saint Francis announced the commitments of 20 players for the 2008-09 football season on Wednesday's National Signing Day.
The Cougars' class is heavy on skill positions with five running backs and four receivers.
Running back Koby Frye and offensive lineman A.J. Hohenbrink, both from Ohio, are the prized recruits. Leo defensive end Lance Carey and Huntington North safety Aaron Kugler are the local products headed to Saint Francis.
The 5-foot-10, 184-pound Frye is St. Mary's Memorial High School's all-time leading rusher with 4,315 yards. In 32 games, he scored 35 touchdowns and averaged 134.8 rushing yards per contest.
His older brother, Bo, is also part of this recruiting class. He's transferring from Northern Michigan.
Hohenbrink was a three-year starter for Ottawa Glandorf High School. The 6-foot-1, 295-pounder was named Western Buckeye League Offensive Lineman of the Year, Associated Press All-Northwest Ohio First Team (Division IV) and was a Division IV All-Ohio special mention selection.
After the nine skill position players, Saint Francis's committed recruiting class is as follows: two offensive linemen, five safeties, one defensive end, one center and one linebacker.
