Snider volley team hammers Homestead

Sarah Langlais had 15 kills and four blocks to lead the Snider Panthers over the Homestead Spartans in four games Monday in high school volleyball action.

Snider won the first game 25-15 before Homestead tied the match at 1 with a 25-22 win in Game 2. Snider came back to win the next two games 25-20 and 25-22.

Anna Dick had six aces for Snider. Homestead was led by Holly Armstrong with 24 assists.

In other volleyball action Monday:

Alexa Kiess had 21 assists, eight aces and two blocks as Heritage beat Wayne in three straight games.

Boys soccer

The Carroll Chargers improved their record to 4-0 in the Northeast Hoosier Conference with a 3-0 win over New Haven. Zach Herbst, Dan Smead and Scott McKaig scored for the Chargers.

Girls soccer

Sarah Opliger had a goal and an assist in Columbia City's 3-1 win over New Haven.

Tennis

Dan Aldea of Whitko beat Dan Ober of Central Noble 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 singles, and the Wildcats went on to a 4-1 win over Central Noble.
