Achievements: Academic honors in arts, sciences and math; Academic All-Conference last two years in football; Academic All-Conference and Honorable Mention All-Conference in baseball junior year; baseball team captain this year; two Silver Keys and one Gold Key in Scholastic Art & Writing Awards; Whitko High School Art Club president.
Activities: Instructed elementary school-age children at baseball and football youth camps; school painting projects; and donation of artwork to benefit charity.
Comments: “Cole has won various awards in the local, regional and state competitions. His technical skill, creative solutions and craftsmanship are on levels unmatched by his classmates and years ahead of his age in school,” said art instructor Walter Malicki.
Sterling Sentinel Judge Erin Stewart said, “Cole displays an outstanding work ethic. His use of color, technique and creativity are apparent throughout his entire portfolio.”
Plans: After attending art school, Mishler plans to attend graduate school for transportation design, as well as to learn automotive repair.
