Heavy snow likely in state, tonight into Wednesday
Forecast here is 6-12 inches; near-blizzard conditions possible.
From staff, wire reports

INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana may be in store for another round of heavy snow.

Just days after Friday's heavy snowfall blanketed much of the state, the National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch from late tonight through early Wednesday.

The watch covers all of Indiana.

For Allen County, forecasters say strong low pressure is expected to bring snow starting tonight and continuing through Tuesday night.

More than 6 inches of snow and as much as 12 inches is possible by Tuesday night; near-blizzard conditions are possible by Wednesday.

The weather service says wind gusts in excess of 30 mph could create significant blowing and drifting snow, with the potential of some roads becoming impassable.

Forecasters say there's still considerable uncertainty about the timing of the storm and the specific amounts of snow it could drop.
