Poll for N-S, WANE to shed light on views of local, state voters

The News-Sentinel, along with news partners NewsChannel 15 WANE-TV and the Mike Downs Center for Indiana Politics, have conducted an election poll, conducted by SurveyUSA, of about 1,200 Indiana residents and about 400 local residents, with a margin of error of +/- 2.8 and +/- 5, respectively.Check online later today at www.news-sentinel.com or watch WANE at 6 p.m. for first results.

Other results will be released throughout the week:

♦Wednesday — How some of the key races are stacking up, including the campaigns for U.S. Senate and 3rd District U.S. House of Representatives.

♦Thursday — Depth of support for the local tea party and who its supporters are.

♦Friday — How prospective voters look at making property-tax caps a part of the state constitution, and how they view school referendums to raise property taxes beyond those caps for the benefit of school systems.
