The Fort Wayne Police Department is cautioning residents not to donate money over the phone to anyone calling on behalf of the Fraternal Order of Police Indiana Wayne Lodge No. 14.According to a release from the organization, the FOP has decided not to utilize phone-soliciting services for its holiday drive this year, due to recent problems with local solicitors.

They caution that a call soliciting funds in the name of the Fraternal Order of Police Indiana Wayne Lodge No. 14 is to be viewed as a scam. However, the Indiana State and National Fraternal Order of Police do solicit in this area. Anyone with questions about those solicitations should call the FOP's local lodge at 1-260-434-9114.

The FOP asks that donations for the holiday season be made directly to the lodge by submitting a check or money order (made out to FOP Wayne Lodge No. 14-Kops 4 Kidz) and mailed to 2125 Olladale Drive, Fort Wayne, IN 46808.
