Fifth Fort Wayne player in NBA camp

Monday, December 12, 2011 07:02 pm
Mad Ants center Chris Hunter, who has been on the waived/injured list the entire season, was called to the New York Knicks training camp on Monday, Ants president Jeff Potter confirmed.

Hunter, a 6-foot-11 veteran who spent a season with the Golden State Warriors after his first stint with the Ants three years ago, was on the verge of returning to action this week.

He is the fifth Fort Wayne player to join an NBA camp, after Walker Russell Jr. (Pistons), Darnell Lazare (Pacers), Ron Howard (Bucks) and Cameron Jones (Heat).
