Monday, January 09, 2012 06:41 pm
Peyton Manning remains committed to the Indianapolis Colts, his father Archie told reporters Monday, according to the Associated Press.Archie Manning said his son was disappointed by the firing of Colts vice chairman Bill Polian, but still hopes to play for the Colts again next season. Archie Manning spoke after presenting the Liberty Mutual Coach of the Year awards in New Orleans on Monday.

He said his son's health remains his top priority after missing the entire 2011 season after undergoing two neck surgeries.

Although Archie Manning earlier questioned whether the Colts could have Peyton Manning and a potential rookie quarterback in Stanford's Andrew Luck on the same team, he said Monday the two could coexist “without a doubt.”
