INDIANAPOLIS — The Super Bowl Village is open for business.
Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard cut the ribbon to open the downtown hub for pre-game activity Friday as four people flew overhead on an 800-foot zip line.
U.S. Rep. Andre Carson called the start of Super Bowl festivities "a chance for the world to see that Indianapolis is America's best-kept secret."
The indoor NFL Experience also opened Friday with football clinics for children led by several Colts players.
Fans will also be able to tour Lucas Oil Stadium, where the New England Patriots and New York Giants will face off Feb. 5. The public will be invited to walk on the stadium's field and visit each team's locker rooms.
The Super Bowl is expected to draw more than 150,000 visitors to Indianapolis.
