NFL Combine, Saturday, Feb. 25
Finally made it to the field today for some physical work. Had the opportunity to throw to the tight ends. If I were to judge my performance today, I would say that I did very well, only missing a few throws out of 40-50. To be honest, our group of throwing QBs all did a great job, and we heard a comment from one of the scouts saying that this was the best group of throwers they have seen in five years. Definitely great to hear.
After the throwing was done on the field, I was able to stick around for a bit and work on my steps for the three-cone drill and short shuttle that I will do Sunday. I also was able to get some starts in preparing for my 40-yard dash.
Again, I was able to get some down time after leaving Lucas Oil Stadium. For dinner, I had a blast. My agent Cliff Brady, former All-Pro linebacker Bryan Cox, current Colts guard/tackle Ryan Diem, and myself had dinner at Ruth's Chris Steak House in downtown Indianapolis. The reason this random group of guys got together is because my agent represents or has represented all of us and still maintains great relationships with all his players.
Sunday is the big day! Need a great night of R&R and possibly a visit to the cold tub, can't wait…NOT!
