Gregg, Simpson rally Fort Wayne union workers

Friday, May 25, 2012 - 8:42 am

State Sen. Vi Simpson, the Democratic candidate for lieutenant governor, spoke Thursday during a rally with gubernatorial candidate and former Indiana House Speaker John Gregg at IBEW Local 305 in Fort Wayne.

Gregg and Simpson rallied about 50 union workers with a pro-labor message, blasting state Republicans for the new "right-to-work" law and education reforms.

Other speakers at the rally included Mayor Tom Henry, former City Councilwoman Karen Goldner and state Reps. Phil GiaQuinta and Win Moses.

Gregg and Simpson are running against Republican U.S. Rep. Mike Pence and his running mate, state Rep. Sue Ellspermann.
