It's not too often I tout a killer as a TV best bet, but the tormented life of Aileen Wuornos has fascinated filmmakers for years.
This prostitute-turned-killer killed seven men in Florida 1989-90, and the Investigation Discovery network airs a special on Wuornos at 10 p.m. today.
Hosted by Erin Brockovich, “Reel Crime/Real Story” will use scene reconstruction and interviews in the episode appropriately entitled, “Monster.”
The media dubbed her the “Damsel of Death,” and Hollywood immortalized her as “Monster.” This episode explores the life and crimes of one of America's most prolific female serial killer.
In a never-before-seen interview, Wuornos reveals the intimate details of the love affair that led her to kill seven men, one of whom has never been found.
She received six death sentences and was executed by lethal injection Oct. 9, 2002, making her the second woman ever executed in Florida at that time.
