Police found a woman in a car suffering from a head wound Tuesday afternoon, according to a news release.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
Police responded to the 1800 block of Sinclair Street, northwest of downtown, shortly before 3 p.m. Tuesday on a report of a dead woman in a car. Police found the woman, who appeared to have a head wound, possibly a gunshot wound, police said in the release.
An autopsy to confirm the woman's identity and determine the cause and manner of death is scheduled for Wednesday.
Crime Scene Technicians and the Allen County Coroner's Office were still processing the scene Tuesday evening, according to the release, and investigators are interviewing area residents.
