Green shirts working, not orange jumpsuits

So many fluorescent green shirts out on Saturday Wonderful job on the clean-up. Lots of work!

I was wondering where the orange jumpsuits were? Oh, that’s right; they were in the air conditioning, eating three squares a day, watching cable TV and relaxing on the taxpayer’s dime. That ole boy in Arizona is shaking his head at such ridiculousness. Let’s get something for our tax dollars.

Churches, Christians need to unite in fight

Church leaders and born-again Christians, our jobs are to win souls for Christ and we cannot do this if we are always fighting each other, member against member, leader against leader, church against church.

Fighting and chaos is what Satan loves, and it discredits our message.

If we can agree on just the three main things — 1. The Holy Bible is the true Word of God; 2. The Apostles’ Creed; 3. Salvation is through faith in Christ alone — then I believe we can have different styles of worship, music, prayer as long as our message is the same in unity with each other. This backbiting needs to end now! How many opportunities have we missed when we have glorified our churches or ourselves instead of proclaiming Christ and Christ alone?

The non-believer and the weaker in faith do not see individual churches, they see Christianity as a whole when they look from the outside, and what they are seeing is not anything different from what the world offers. They see chaos in the world, they see chaos in our churches, they see hate and destruction in the world and hate and destruction to each other in the churches. No love or joy in the world and none coming out of our churches.

We can fight against Satan if we are unified. So it is up to us. Do we put our pettiness aside and accept that different churches have different styles as long as the message is the same? Do we keep fighting, or do we reach across

denominational lines or do we keep losing souls to Satan? The world is watching.

It’s all up to us individually and as a church body.
