Mad Ants players Darnell Lazare, Chuck Garcia and Cameron Jones will get some extra court time in front of NBA scouts next week.
The three players have been invited to participate in the Elite Mini Camp on Monday and Tuesday at the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. The camp is designed to give the NBA D-League's top prospects a chance to be evaluated again by the NBA.
More than 50 NBA representatives are expected to attend the event, which will include drills and full-court games.
“The event affords NBA teams an offseason chance to check in on elite young players as they fill their summer league and training camp rosters,” said Chris Alpert, D-League vice president of basketball operations and player personnel.
Lazare averaged 15.5 points per game last season, Jones averaged 14 and Garcia averaged 11.8. Jones was named one of the league's top rookies last season.
