Fort Wayne Police are investigating the shooting death of a man found Saturday morning in a home in the 1900 block of South Clinton Street, according to a police news release.
Officers arrived at about 9:46 a.m. and found a man inside the home suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound or wounds, according to the release. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers and crime technicians are still examining the scene and interviewing neighborhood residents. The Allen County Coroner will determine the victim's cause and manner of death and release his identity.
The incident remains under investigation by Fort Wayne Police, the coroner's office and the Allen County Prosecutor's Office.
