The Allen County Coroner's Office has identified a man found dead Saturday morning and declared his death a homicide.
Gregory D. Mitchell, 58, was found dead at around 10 a.m. Saturday in a house in the 1900 block of South Clinton Street, according to a news release. An autopsy showed Mitchell was shot to death and his death is the 16th homicide this year in Fort Wayne and Allen County.
His death remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, the coroner's office and the Allen County Prosecutor's Office.
