Super Shot announced Monday that some changes in state vaccination guidelines could affect the eligibility of some of its clients.
As of March 1, some insurance companies have changed their coverage as well. Super Shot asks parents and guardians of program participants to clarify current vaccination coverage by calling their insurance company's customer service.
For the past 19 years Super Shot has served families and children to educate the public on immunization and provide vaccination coverage to underinsured and low-income families.
Those eligible for vaccinations are any child through age 18 who is enrolled in Medicaid/Hoosier Healthwise, does not have health insurance, has insurance but the insurance does not cover the cost of any vaccines, has insurance but caps vaccine coverage at a certain amount (once you have reached your insurance vaccine coverage cap, you can come to Super Shot for the remainder of your vaccines) or has insurance that only covers selected vaccines. Any vaccines excluded from your insurance coverage can be obtained at Super Shot.
