Indiana and Kentucky's men's basketball programs have been unable to reach an agreement on reviving their series. As an alternative, the A&E network is considering airing the negotiations in a new television series entitled either “Court Hoarders” or “Kentucky's Fine Whines.”

An Associated Press report says players in the Southeastern Conference receive third, fourth or fifth chances after testing positive for marijuana use. But this might only apply to those whose scholarships were endowed by Willie Nelson or Snoop Dogg.

Top prep basketball player Jabari Parker's family plans to limit his media availability over the summer in order to take some of the pressure off him. If this doesn't work, they plan to take a more radical step to avoid television exposure: They'll ask David Stern to place him directly on the Indiana Pacers.

UCLA defended its decision to award a football scholarship to Sean “Diddy” Combs' son, Justin Combs despite Diddy being named the wealthiest artist in hip-hop by Forbes. The school feels Justin Combs shouldn't be treated any different just because his dad could buy a few USC recruits.

ESPN showed a live broadcast of the National Spelling Bee last week. Stephen A. Smith won the event after runner-up Skip Bayless erroneously spelled “superstar quarterback” as “T-e-b-o-w.”
Define "evaluation"
San Francisco 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh said the team “evaluated” Peyton Manning but never pursued him during the offseason. The only response to that is that John Elway sure knows how to “evaluate” better than Jim Harbaugh.
Lil Wayne's big complaint
Rap star Lil Wayne was upset last week when the Oklahoma City Thunder wouldn't fulfill his last-minute request for court-side seats. The game was sold out, but you would think they could make a Lil exception.
