Fort Wayne Animal Care & Control is investigating a case of animal cruelty after a kitten was found with burns. Investigators believe the animal was burned with fireworks. Her whiskers were burned off, her paw pads burned and a rubber band was around her tail, possibly to attach fireworks to it, according to director Belinda Lewis. Someone had found her on Fox Grove.
With July 4 coming up, residents are reminded about the dangers of fireworks.
