Tip of the hat to Laura Snyder's column in the May 24 News-Sentinel. I agree with her regarding air conditioning in schools. I'm in my 90s, and we didn't even have a fan in the classroom. We had wonderful nuns who tolerated the heart, and they wore their habits. If we complained, we were told “offer it up” and the subject was closed. Laura, there is comfort in knowing there are many others who share our opinion.
