Hundreds of people braved the midday heat to join in Sunday's Corpus Christi procession after a morning mass. Fort Wayne-South Bend Diocese Bishop Kevin Rhoades led the three-mile procession from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, through Headwaters Park and to Most Precious Blood Catholic Church before ending at Queen of Angels Catholic Church.
The event ended with a fiesta, as is tradition on the Feast of Corpus Christi, which is Latin for Body of Christ. At each stop participants held a short prayer service.
