The opportunity to catch the 2012-13 Purdue men's basketball team in action will be sooner than most Boilermaker fans would think. And the ability to purchase tickets for that opportunity will begin Monday.
Men's basketball premium seat holders can begin purchasing tickets in their normal seat locations for the Purdue's alumni game and intrasquad scrimmage on Monday and continue to do so through Wednesday.
The event is scheduled to tip-off with the alumni game at 2 p.m. Aug. 4 on Keady Court.
Among the fan favorites currently scheduled to participate are Brian Cardinal, Tarrance Crump, Carson Cunningham, Keaton Grant, Marcus Green, Matt Kiefer, Chris Kramer, Troy Lewis, Kenneth Lowe, Todd Mitchell, Bobby Riddell, Ryne Smith, David Teague and Mark Wohlford.
Immediately following the alumni game, fans can stay and watch the 2012-13 Purdue squad when the Boilermakers hold an intrasquad scrimmage.
In addition to returning eight letterwinners from last season's NCAA Tournament team, including reigning Big Ten Sixth Man of the Year D.J. Byrd, the Boilers welcome a consensus top-20 recruiting class to campus this summer.
Tickets for the event will be priced at $10 for the lower level (reserved) and $5 for the upper level (general admission). A limited number of free tickets (one per student) will be available to Purdue students in the normal student sections.
All John Purdue Club members can begin purchasing tickets on June 21, with a priority deadline of July 3. Seating assignments will be made based on John Purdue Club priority points. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on July 9.
Tickets may be purchased online at purduesports.com, by calling (800) 49-SPORT or in person at the Purdue Athletic Ticket Office. Located on the concourse level on the east side of Mackey Arena, the Athletic Ticket Office is open for business from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. ET, Monday-Friday.
