ACPL’s summer hours listed

The Allen County Public Library announced its summer weekend hours. The main library, 900 Library Plaza, is open 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturdays, closed Sundays through Sept. 1. Aboite, Dupont, Georgetown and Shawnee branches are open 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday.

All other locations of the Allen County Public Library system will be closed Saturdays through Labor Day.

The main library's weekday hours remain the same: 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday.

All branch location weekday hours also remain the same.

New book

Fort Wayne author Michael Gerrard Skeeters has written a new book, “Heaven(d) Iconography in Flesh,” which takes readers on a tour through heaven, earth and hell. It is available through www.publishamerica.com.

Book wins award

“Lectio Divina: The Mass in Scripture,” by Stephen J. Binz (Our Sunday Visitor, 2011), earned first place in the “Excellence in Publishing” awards from the Association of Catholic Publishers.

“The Mass in Scripture” earned the top spot in the “Prayer and Spirituality” category.
