Truck drivers and hearing loss
The Department of Transportation is considering allowing people who are deaf and who have hearing impairment to become commercial drivers. They are considering making special exceptions to the Commercial Drivers Licenses hearing requirements for 45 applicants.
The DOT is asking for public comments about exemptions for drivers with hearing loss. Comments will be accepted until June 25. Go to www.Regulations.gov and share your opinion.

Support group meeting
Fort Wayne Amputee Support Group will meet at 7-8:30 p.m. the fourth Wednesday of every month at Turnstone Center for Disabled Children and Adults, 3320 N. Clinton St. The support group is not affiliated with Turnstone and is independently operated and organized.

Healthy grilling tips offered
Real Men Grill Healthy! will be at 6:30-8 p.m. June 28 at the Parkview Family Park on the Parkview Regional Medical Center campus. Parkview chefs will provide tips and examples of healthy grilling. Cost will be $10.
