Purdue University trustees will be in Fort Wayne Tuesday to announce the new IPFW chancellor.
The announcement will be at 10:30 a.m. in the International Ballroom of the Walb Student Union, according to an IPFW news release.
The appointee will take over July 1 for departing Chancellor Mike Wartell, who has served in that position for 19 years.
Wartell turned 65 this year, the mandatory retirement age for Purdue employees in administrative positions. Purdue denied a request by IPFW to allow Wartell to remain chancellor.
The campus community, media and invited guests are welcome at the event, which will also be streamed live in a webcast at www.ipfw.edu/ipfw.
