One of two potential independent challengers to state Rep. Bob Morris in the November election has decided to delay his challenge until the 2014 Republican primary.
Fort Wayne attorney Michael Barranda, who in April said he was considering a run to represent the Indiana House's 84th District because of Morris' polarizing statements about the Girl Scouts, said in a statement his decision was based on the best interests of himself, his family and the community, and that he will spend the next two years learning and listening in order to “develop my platform and advance issues for northeast Indiana.”
Andrew Young, an employee of Parkview Health, is also considering running against Morris as an independent candidate in November.
