Friday, June 22, 2012 - 3:42 am

Indiana Tech bolstered its men's track and field squad on Thursday by signing one of the top athletes in New Mexico.

The Warriors announced the signing of Isaiah Lintz of Hobbs, New Mexico.

“We are very excited to add Isaiah to our program," Indiana Tech coach Doug Edgar said in a release. "He is a young man who has a strong work ethic and a great desire to excel in this sport. He thrives on being the best and wants to compete at a high level."

Lintz is a multi-event talent with his primary ability coming in the form of the long and triple jump. He owns a career-best of 45-feet, 6 inches in the triple jump, 23-feet, 2 ½ inches in the long jump.

As a sprinter he ran a 10.92 in the 100 meters. He is widely considered the best jumper in the state of New Mexico.

"I am excited to see him continue to develop at the college level and grow into a leader on our team," Edgar said.
