Plymouth Congregational Church's Plymouth Music Series Summer Arts Festival will offer a musical and various music performances for the community July 13-21.
The church is located at 501 W. Berry St. Here is the schedule of events:
*A presentation of "Little Women: The Musical," featuring the Plymouth Players and directed by Brent Blalock will be performed at 7 p.m. July 13, 14 and 18 in the Plymouth Church sanctuary.
At 2 p.m. July 15 and 7 p.m. July 19, Alexander Klepach and Robert Nance will perform improvised arrangements of pop tunes and Broadway favorites in a program entitled "Pop Go The Pianos."
At 7 p.m. July 16, Fort Wayne native Phillip Blaine presents a solo piano concert: "Talent Made Here."
At 7 p.m. July 17, "The Pied Pipers," a duo comprised of Janet McKay Galbraith (flute) and Campbell MacDonald (clarinet), will perform works from both the classical and the jazz repertoires accompanied by Robert Nance at the piano.
At 7 p.m. July 20, "Quartet a Tete," featuring Hiromi Ito (violin), Olga Yurkova (violin), Derek Reeves (viola) and Jane Heald (cello) go "head to head" to present the premier performance of Indiana composer Howard Terrell's string quartet.
At 7:30 p.m. July 21, the Plymouth Rocks the Block event will feature the longtime Fort Wayne band favorite Endgame in concert. The band is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, and features three original members and band a lineup that has not changed since 1975. This pre-fireworks concert preceding the Fort Wayne Newspapers Three Rivers Festival fireworks will take place outdoors at the corner of Fairfield and Wayne streets south side of the church.
The concert location offers a great view of the TRF fireworks, and people are invited to lawn chairs as seating for both the concert and fireworks.
