INDIANAPOLIS — As expected, Indiana's U.S. Senate candidates have differing views on the U.S. Supreme Court ruling upholding the federal health care law.
Democrat Joe Donnelly voted for the law as a congressman. He says it lowers prescription drug costs for seniors, ensures people aren't dropped by insurance companies and makes care more affordable and accessible. He says he'll work to improve the law.
Republican nominee Richard Mourdock is calling for a "complete repeal" of the law. He says it will add trillions of dollars to the national debt, deter future job growth, and force thousands of individuals out of their existing health care coverage.
Libertarian Andrew Horning says the ruling is unconstitutional in part because people are forced to buy a product they do not want, need or cannot afford.
