Wednesday, July 4, 2012 - 6:07 am

The Allen County Coroner's office said Tuesday that Keith James Gavura, 31, of Fort Wayne, died from blunt-force trauma to the head Sunday. His death has been ruled a homicide.

According to a news release from the coroner's office, Gavura was pronounced dead Sunday at an apartment in the 5500 block of River Run Trail. Gavura had been involved in an altercation in the early morning hours at the location, which is the home of an acquaintance. His homicide is the 20th homicide this year in Allen County. An autopsy was conducted Monday, according to the news release.

The investigation is ongoing by the Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Coroner's Office, and the Allen County Prosecutor's Office.
