My employer pounds the warm-and-fuzzy-candy-colored-kumbaya of diversity and multiculturalism (and other liberal causes du jour) into the Neanderthal-like skulls of its employees. Thank goodness! I'm sure we'd never have figured out how to get along with others on our own.
Here's to you … (a local nonprofit) for having one of the worst customer-service individuals I have ever dealt with — rude, limited vocabulary, could not negotiate a thought properly, had trouble listening before talking and was just a typical customer service person of today's world.
Forty years into the drug war I think it's clear we're never going to incarcerate our way out of this problem. To even attempt to do so constitutes a human rights catastrophe. Drug prohibition has done more to hurt society than drug consumption ever could.
I am also a disappointed viewer. “Noon Extra” always brought us a variety of topics and great guests. “Insight” doesn't offer anything interesting and informative at all. Corinne (Rose) always handled the show perfectly.
To take a show (“Noon Extra”) off that has substance, importance, quality information and a great hostess is just unbelievable. We are still shaking our heads. We miss all the experts and their valuable information.
I am really angry that one of the biggest local music stores in town will not accept relay calls from hearing-impaired people. I intend to spread the word about this discriminatory practice and the business which promotes it.
With Supreme Court decision today saying states cannot disallow unlimited corporate money in their elections, you can now kiss democracy goodbye. Now, candidates will be bought by big business. To achieve whatever high-handed goals they may have. Ordinary citizens will no longer have a say in even local governments.
Gas in Fort Wayne area is $3.33-$3.53. Took a trip to Ohio today. Got gas for $3.21! Why is Indiana always higher than other states near by?
Fireworks nearly drove us and our neighbors crazy last year. Please don't let that happen again. Who are the fools who can part with their money for something that is hazardous and extremely annoying? This city needs a law prohibiting the use of fireworks by people who are not trained to do so properly and only during the weeks of July 4.
On June 16 I attended a wedding reception of a friend in the ballroom at the historic Masonic Temple. The building is very pretty and well-kept. The reception was fun and well done, except why did people from a reception on another floor at the temple “crash” our party? Was it for free food and an open bar? I understand theirs was not. They even ignored the door man. How rude people are nowadays.
Just who does this dictator in the White House think he is? Hey, Barry Hitler, you are through in November! The American people will not tolerate your complete disregard of the Constitution! You will be done come November!
All the members of the Purdue Boards of Trustees, 65 years old or older, also will retire since they apparently have determined anyone aged 65 is no longer capable of making sound business decisions.
Great! The United States Supreme Court, in its infinite wisdom,is doing its part to start new business and jobs, called FIDO! You do not need a government issued ID card, just contact FIDO — Forged Immigration Documents Online, $19.95.
Thank you, Mayor Henry and city officials, for placing a ban on residents using fireworks. Residents, please obey this restriction and help protect our city and residents.
