High speed may have contributed to a motorcycle rider being critically injured Thursday afternoon on Nuttman Avenue, according to Fort Wayne Police.
At around 1:51 p.m., police responded to the 2900 block of Nuttman, where officers found a single motorcycle down. The driver, Jyuan D. Davis, 31, of Fort Wayne, was taken to a local hospital, where he remained in critical condition this morning.
Preliminary reports indicate the motorcycle was traveling eastbound at a high speed and Davis lost control of the bike while crossing railroad tracks, according to FWPD spokeswoman Raquel Foster. He was not wearing a helmet and he suffered severe head trauma, according to Foster.
This crash remains under investigation.
