I have never had the chance to visit Fort Wayne before last week's visit to Wing Ding. I now understand why they keep coming back. The people of the city were, hands down, some of the friendliest and helpful people in the world. From the hotels and restaurants, to movie theaters and gas stations! I felt welcome and appreciated for the visit. People stopped and talked, thanked you for being there and even apologized for the silly weather (Lord love um'). It made the trip, the weather and money I spent so well worth it all. Thank you so much for a wonderful Wing Ding.
Cheers to the staff who worked at Menard's East (5511 Meijer Dr.) on June 30. I trekked to the store from Waynedale looking for coolers and other supplies during the power outage. Despite the fact the store was operating on limited power, the staff working that day were the most courteous and professional I have ever encountered in any retail chain store. To help customers endure the heat and long waits at checkout lines, staff were offering bottled water to anyone who wanted it. Everyone was friendly and engaged with the customers. Great job to all!
