Vera Bradley is now dressing up dorm rooms.
The locally owned manufacturer of quilted purses, luggage and accessories now has a line of dorm room accessories, from comforters to pillows to shower caddies and towels. Most of the products come in three patterns: Paisley Meets Plaid, Indigo Pop and my favorite, Va Va Bloom.
A twin set includes a comforter and sham and is $149. A matching bath set, including a bath towel, hand towel and washcloth, is $49. A shower caddy is $34. Also available are matching rugs, lap desks, stadium blankets and more.

Lush introduces cosmetics to line
Lush, the aromatic line of bath bombs, soaps etc. at Macy's, is launching a new line of color cosmetics July 21. Called Emotional Brilliance, the line includes 13 lip colors, 11 liquid eyeliners and six cream eyeshadows, all priced at $22.95 each.
Sidewalk sale
Covington Plaza's sidewalk sale is Wednesday through July 21. The Olive Twist, which sells olive oil and balsamic vinegar, will set its sale inside due to the nature of the products.
Perfumery tour
A “perfumery studio” in Ligonier is celebrating its first anniversary with a three-day celebration July 25-27.
Annie Oakley Perfumery, 300 Johnson St., Ligonier, is planning a three-day gala with tours demonstrating how the perfumes are created and bottled in the mornings; high tea, pastries and fresh fruit 3-4 p.m. daily; jazz music and fragrance sampling 4-5:30 p.m.; and a wine tasting and hors d'oeuvres 5:30-8 p.m. July 27.
Renee Gabet is the owner of the business, which has sold more than 2 million bottles of its all-natural, organic fragrances and body products to customers around the world.

Rummage sale
If you're downtown Saturday, check out the rummage sale 8 a.m.-5 p.m. on the Historic Wells Street Bridge. Proceeds go to the Lake Erie Waterkeeper, Save Maumee Program for river improvements.
