Fort Wayne Police have identified two shooting victims, one of them a 3-year-old girl.

Kenaveya Williams, 3, of Fort Wayne, remained hospitalized in critical condition Friday morning. According to the Fort Wayne Police Department, she and Quantae A. Jackson, 18, also of Fort Wayne, were shot in the 4800 block of Gaywood Drive on Thursday night. Jackson was last reported in fair condition.

Investigators believe the shooting is possibly gang-related, said FWPD spokeswoman Raquel Foster. According to a preliminary investigation, people were gathered on the porch and in the yard of a home at 9:26 p.m. when at least one male subject walked into the area and fired several times upon the group, Foster said.

Jackson had been seated on the front porch of the home, while Williams was playing in the front yard. Police do not know of any relationship between the two victims, and neither lived at the home, Foster said.

The shooter or shooters reportedly fled on foot northbound.

Investigators have some leads at this time, Foster said.

The shootings remain under investigation with the FWPD and the Allen County Prosecutor's Office.
