Curling often catches the attention of sports fans every four years through the Winter Olympics. However, the sport will conduct one of its biggest events in Fort Wayne next month.
The Fort Wayne Curling Club will host the third annual Fort Wayne Summerspiel on Aug. 17-19 at the Lutheran Health SportsCenter. Admission is free.
The tournament is the largest summer curling event under one roof in North America. More than 40 teams from throughout the United States and Canada in novice, competitive and elite divisions will participate.
