Automation firm will grow in New Haven, adding four jobs

Wednesday, July 25, 2012 - 2:04 pm

JCR Automation Inc. will move to a new location in New Haven and expand its work force, the Fort Wayne-Allen County Economic Development Alliance announced Wednesday.

The company plans to buy an existing building at 1426 Ryan Road in New Haven. It will be expanded to gain 9,000 more feet for manufacturing and warehouse space. Operations at its current location, 15202 Edgerton Road, will relocate to the new site when the new site is ready. This relocation and expansion will add four new full-time employees to its existing staff of 16.

JCR Automation is involved with various industries but focuses on its continuous-process product line for the high-speed progressive die-stamping industry. The company also produces custom automation, test equipment and vision-system inspection integration. This recent investment will allow JCR Automation to increase its manufacturing capabilities, the company said.

JCR Automation plans to invest $200,000 in the new facility and $300,000 in new equipment. The Allen County Council will be asked to consider phasing in real and personal property taxes associated with the project on Aug. 16. JCR Automation could save approximately $15,013 while still paying more than $37,471 in local property tax over five years.
