Two men in good condition after being shot

Monday, July 30, 2012 - 7:01 am

Two men were taken to an undisclosed hospital in good condition after being shot Saturday night.

Fort Wayne Police Department officers responded at around 8 p.m. to the 1000 block of Oaklawn Court in reference to a shooting investigation. As officers and paramedics arrived, they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds, according to FWPD spokesman Officer John Chambers. Paramedics provided medical attention to the victims before taking them to a local hospital in good condition.

Investigators do not have any suspects and no arrests have been made. Investigators believe that the shooting may have occurred at another location, possibly near the intersection of John and Pontiac streets, and the victims either drove themselves or were taken to the 1000 block of Oaklawn by someone else, according to Chambers.

Investigators spoke to possible witnesses Saturday night. The names of the victims were being withheld pending notification to their families.

This incident remains under investigation by the FWPD and the Allen County Prosecutor's Office.
