Three people escaped unharmed from a house fire Wednesday afternoon.
Fort Wayne Fire Department crews responded at 4:28 p.m. to 4102 Tacoma Ave., according to an FWFD news release. Crews found heavy smoke and fire coming from the home's first floor with the blaze extending outside to second floor. The blaze was under control in 15 minutes.
Two adults and a child were downstairs when one adult went upstairs and found smoke inside the home, according to the release. They all got out of the house safely before fire crews arrived. No one was injured and the cause of the blaze is under investigation.
