LOGANSPORT — A yearlong celebration of Logansport's 175 years will feature Founder's Day parties, tours of Underground Railroad sites and a CD of songs about the city made by local artists.
The celebration will begin Feb. 17, and organizers tell the Pharos-Tribune activities will be held in multiple locations so more people can participate.
Organizer Lita Rouser says the committee planning the event is reaching out to school groups and organizations such as the American Red Cross so they can feature the number 175 in their service hours or projects.
Rouser says she is looking forward to a "geocaching adventure" put on by local Boy Scouts. Participants will be given GPS coordinates and must find a historical object in the area.
