CIRCUS TIME: The traveling Piccadilly Circus continues its run of shows today through Sunday in a climate-controlled big top tent assembled in the parking lot of Memorial Coliseum, 4000 Parnell Ave.
The circus show is called BLAST!, and it emphasizes comedy along with animal acts, acrobats and daredevil performers, according to the coliseum website, www.memorialcoliseum.com. Featured acts include what the circus bills as the world's largest herd of performing camels; dancing zebras; daredevil motorcyclists. A fun zone offers elephant, camel and pony rides and a free petting zoo.
Show times are 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. today and Friday; 1:30, 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday; and 1, 3:30 and 6 p.m. Sunday. Ticket prices range from $8-$48, with a Pizza Family Fun pack available for $60 today only. Special prices include adult general admission tickets $8.75 for Friday shows if purchased online by today; adult general admission tickets $15 for Saturday shows if purchased online by Friday; and adult tickets buy one get one free for Sunday shows if bought online by Saturday. FRIDAY
ROCK 'N' ROLL'EM: Performances by more than 50 Christian bands and musicians and an independent film festival highlight the Fandana Festival on Friday and Saturday at Huntington University, 2303 College Ave. in Huntington, which is about 30 minutes southwest of Fort Wayne.
Chris Tomlin, who is scheduled to perform Friday night, headlines a music lineup that also includes Family Force 5, Sidewalk Prophets and Rapture Ruckus. The film festival includes the Academy Award-nominated “A Cat in Paris” and “Marley,” a biopic on the late reggae music legend Bob Marley.
Other activities include art exhibits, hot air balloon rides, street performers, inflatables and a 5-K run.
Gates open 11 a.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Saturday, and the fun goes all day both days.
Full-event passes are $48 for adults in advance and $50 at the door, and $10 for ages 6-10. Single-day passes are $29 for adults in advance and $30 at the door. Children ages 5 and younger are free. Discounts and group rates also are available at www.fandanafestival.com/ticket-details.

CULTURAL CELEBRATION: Local Native Americans will hold a traditional pow wow with dancing, music, food, educational displays and entertainment at Morsches Park, off Indiana 205 in Columbia City. Along with watching native dancers, spectators will be invited at certain times to join the dancing. Bring your own lawn chair for seating.

VERY VOCAL: The Fort Wayne Children's Choir will present a Choralfest Concert at 7:30 p.m. at Foellinger Outdoor Theatre, 3411 Sherman Blvd. in Franke Park. Admission is free. The performance is scheduled to include the group's Apprentice, Whitley County, Lyric, Treble and Concert Choirs.

THE REAL DEAL: The Contemporary Realism Biennial 2012 art exhibition, which showcases some of the best new work in contemporary realist art, opens at the Fort Wayne Museum of Art, 311 E. Main St. The exhibition continues through Oct. 28.
Art displayed includes paintings, sculptures and drawings by artists from around the country.
Museum hours are 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday (but open until 8 p.m. Thursdays); and noon-5 p.m. Sunday. LOOKING UP: Clear skies permitting, enjoy the “Perseids: Earth's Sky Show” program 9 p.m.-midnight at Eagle Marsh, 6801 Engle Road. Fort Wayne Astronomical Society members will set up telescopes so you can see and learn about celestial bodies in the night sky and watch for the Perseids, a meteor shower associated with the comet Swift-Tuttle.
