Fort Wayne Police on Thursday were still searching for an alleged gunman who fled from a possible shooting Wednesday after another man was grazed by a bullet.
Officers responded at about 10:13 a.m. Wednesday to the 1900 block of East Pettit Avenue, where witnesses said a man had been shot, police said. Police found a man, identified as Calvin J. Keys, 19, with a graze wound from a bullet to his hip.
Two men fled from the scene in a brown car and led police on a chase before getting out and running from the car, police said.
Police took the driver into custody but could not find the other man, who may have fired the gunshot, police spokeswoman Raquel Foster said Thursday. The second man remained at large Thursday.
The driver, 18-year-old Jakwan Braster, of the 2500 block of Drexel Avenue, faces preliminary charges of resisting arrest, reckless driving and operating a vehicle without a driver's license, according to court records.
