Getting everyone to look at the camera for a family photo is difficult. Sometimes a squeaky toy helps.
At least that's what Peggy Bender was thinking as she squeezed a plastic hamburger-shaped toy. Bender, community relations and education specialist for Fort Wayne Animal Care & Control, helped focus the attention of four-legged, winged and other family members at the Picture Your Pet event July 15 and 16 at Lakeside Park. The annual Fort Wayne Newspapers Three Rivers Festival event raises money for community animal safety education programs. Owners could buy a 5x7 portrait and other photo items from the photo sessions.
