Adeoye no longer with Cardinal program

Saturday, August 11, 2012 - 2:49 am

The exodus of men's basketball players from Ball State continued on Friday, as the Cardinals lost their sixth player from last year's roster.

Sophomore Aaron Adeoye elected to leave the Cardinal program according to a release.

“We are disappointed Aaron has decided to leave,” Ball State coach Billy Taylor said. “We appreciate his contributions to our team in the time he was here and wish him the best in the future.”

The 6-foot-6 forward from Marion, Ill., averaged 3.5 points and 4.2 rebounds per game for the Cardinals last season in his freshman campaign.

The Cardinals graduated seniors Randy Davis, Pierre Sneed and Jarrod Jones. However, a couple of other players with eligibility remaining chose to leave the squad. In addition to Adeoye, freshman Zeke Chapman, sophomore Tyrae Robinson also left the program earlier this summer.
