The Cosmos restaurant at 1425 W. Washington Center Road closed Sunday.
Panos Bourounis said his family sold the building to Culver's, a burger and frozen custard chain with two locations in Fort Wayne, on West Jefferson Boulevard and East Dupont Road.
The Cosmos at 3232 St. Joe Center Road will remain open, Bourounis said, and the family hopes to open another restaurant in a new location next year.
He said his dad, Petros Bourounis, has had health issues, which was part of the reason the family sold the west location, in addition to Culver's wanting to buy it.
