It isn't every day that Bishop Luers High School senior Jaylon Smith receives accolades for his ability on the football field. It is just with great frequency that he does.
The Notre Dame recruit was honored on Thursday with selection to the USA TODAYfirst annual Preseason American Family Insurance ALL-USA Football Team.
The 24-man team was selected by USA TODAY Sports’ Jim Halley, with help from recruiting analysts Mike Farrell of Rivals.com, Tom Lemming of CBS Sports Network and JC Shurburtt of 247sports.com.
Smith was the lone honoree from the Indiana on the squad.
