Thanks for help at National Night Out

Cheers to the sponsors, volunteers and participants of this year’s National Night Out event at Packard Park on Aug. 7, hosted by the Southwest Area Partnership and the Packard Area Planning Alliance.

Thanks to our incredible national sponsor, Target, who provided food, beverages and prizes and had 20 employees from several local locations to come and help with the event. Thank you for the participation by the Fort Wayne Police Department and the Fort Wayne Fire Department for sharing their assorted police and fire vehicles with the kids.

The success of this event was also thanks to additional sponsorship and to the participating groups: Citilink, Amy Hartzog and the City of Fort Wayne, Love46807, Edy’s, Gouty’s, Lutheran Health Network, Parkview Health, Barbara’s Sheer Pleasure, Rhapsody in Wax and volunteers from Creighton-Home, Fairfield, Illsley Place, Oakdale, Historic South Wayne, West Rudisill and Williams-Woodland neighborhood associations.

Dear Editor:

Why is the closest passenger train for the City of Fort Wayne, Ind., USA, located in Franke Park?
