For the cost of a $5 pass, you can shop at Macy's on Saturday and get 25 percent or 10 percent off items in stores and online.
When you purchase the pass, 100 percent of your $5 goes to the March of Dimes, which works to improve babies' health by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality.
Oftentimes, sales at Macy's exclude many brands, but this savings pass includes some brands that are usually excluded. Still, you have to read the fine print associated with the sale:
Online purchases: If you use the savings pass online, it will give you an extra 25 percent off regular, sale and clearance prices but excludes Super Buys, Specials, Everyday Values, Coach, Le Creuset, TAG Heuer, Tempur-Pedic mattresses, baby gear, kids' shoes, cosmetics, fragrances, watches, electronics, rugs and toys. You'll get 10 percent off furniture and mattresses.
In-store purchases: The pass is a better deal if you use it in the store, where there are fewer exclusions. It will give you an extra 25 percent off regular, sale and clearance prices but excludes Super Buys, Specials, Everyday Values, cosmetics, fragrances, TAG Heuer, Tempur-Pedic mattresses and vendors that operate leased space. In store, the pass will give you an extra 10 percent off watches, electronics, furniture, mattresses and rugs.
